Facial Aesthetics
Non-surgical Facial Aesthetics
At Rothley Dental Centre in Leicestershire, we offer a wide range of non-surgical facial aesthetic procedures, including skin resurfacing and skin revitalisation treatments.
Visible results
Over time, skin can begin to lose its elasticity.
Before we start, we’ll talk to you about the results you want. We can then use a combination of procedures to make small, natural-looking changes that make a big overall difference.
Some of our most popular treatments are dermal fillers, which add volume beneath the skin, helping to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
We’ve seen a significant increase in the number of men opting for these treatments and are always happy to welcome new clients.
Skin peels
Skin peels can be help pigmentation, improve the appearance of fine line and wrinkles and refresh tired and dull looking skin.
They fall into 3 categories:
Exfoliators: Working on the most superficial layers of the epidermis(the stratum corneum), they remove dead skin cells to reveal new, healthy skin below. Exfoliators are solely topical, and have no down-time whatsoever.
Resurfacers: Generally have little-to-no downtime following treatment and use enzymes and acids to refine and exfoliate.
Skin peels: They penetrate the mid to lower levers of the epidermis, delivering stronger, extended results. Because chemical peels are so effective, expect downtime of up to 10 days.
At Rothley Dental Centre, we offer all three along with full aftercare options to ensure you get the best, long-lasting results.
Dermal fillers
Dermal Fillers are a versatile treatment which volumises the skin, leaving it smooth and contoured.
With instant results and no down-time it’s easy to understand why it’s one of our most popular treatments.
The most common treatment areas include:
- Nose to mouth grooves (nasal labial folds)
- Mouth to chin (marionette lines)
- Frown lines and forehead lines
- Cheeks – to lift and volumise the entire face
- Chin and jaw line – to sculpt and define
- Lip lines – to fill lipstick lines, also known as smoker’s lines
- Lips – to define the vermillion border and add volume to the body of the lip itself
Dermaroller
The dermaroller uses advanced micro skin needling, a procedure designed to stimulate the skin, creating a smoother, brighter complexion.
This treatment may help to improve the appearance of:
- Facial and decolletage lines and wrinkles
- Stretch marks
- Sun damaged skin
Post treatment
After the procedure, your body will start to naturally repair the skin. This takes time and can take up to 6 weeks before visible signs can be seen. The process will continue over the following months, providing you with natural looking results.
Mesotherapy
Mesotherapy involves applying hyaluronic acid, vitamins, minerals and amino-acids to help revitalise the skin.
A series of micro injections are administered to the epidermal layer, deeply moisturising and hydrating the target area. There will be a mild prickly sensation and some bruising is known to occur after the session which disappears soon afterwards.
Mild redness may also appear which goes away after a few hours.
Post treatment
We recommend avoiding alcohol, stimulants and drinking a lot of water to help eliminate toxins. Avoid exposing the skin to the sun and use a good sunscreen. Our clinician will provide full aftercare information.
